I want to send a notification when a custom date ticket field is updated. Is this possible?
Answer
No, there is no business rule with a condition that can identify changes in a custom date ticket field value.
A suggested workaround from this community post is to:
- Use an additional custom checkbox field that your agents can check. Train your agents to check that box if the date ticket field is updated. Use that action as a condition in your trigger conditions to send an email notification.
- Include the custom date field placeholder {{ticket.ticket_field_ID }} in your email notifications. You don’t notify the recipients of the email that the date changed, but this way they are always aware of the date value.
